Well we believe 2 reasons, first of all it's an extension of your corporate identity, you can build audiences you previously could not. Post your messages, offers, good deeds etc and show what a nice company you are.
The second is the advantage these sites are huge in terms of traffic. So much so Google has it's own dedicated team of robots looking at the sites 24/7. In terms of traffic ranking Facebook is pretty much the daddy, Google itself comes in 2nd. Twitter is down in 8th and Linked in is 12th.
